Mrs. Zella Mae Royal Miller, age 93, of North Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at her home.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Brady Hayworth officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

Zella was born May 7, 1932, in Wilkes County to Thurmond and Lecie Pruitt Royal. She was a devoted Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible school teacher. She was also a Wilkes County Schools Grandparent. She was an avid gardener and accomplished seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Miller; daughters, Brenda Gail Miller, Kathy Mae Miller; sister, Stella Church; sister-in-law, Hildegard Royal and brother-in-law, Issac Miller.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Sue Miller Deihl (Ron Deihl) of North Wilkesboro, Gary Paul Miller (Phyllis Miller) of North Wilkesboro,  Janice Miller Bowlin (James Bowlin) of North Wilkesboro, Scotty Warren Miller (Amanda Miller) of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Miller Casse, Jessica Miller Vickers, April Lynn Wyatt, Valerie Vickers-Robinson, Angela Cockerham, Jeremy Paul Miller, Anthony Kevin Miller, Jamie Wayne Wyatt, Justin Brian Vickers; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Miller of Winston-Salem and brothers, Billy Ray Royal of West Jefferson and Arvil Rex Royal of Millers Creek.
