Mr. Zachary Wayne Walker, age 29 of Moravian Falls passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Arvil Perry and Rev. Jason Whitley officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park.
Zachary was born March 5, 1994, in Wilkes County to Larry Wayne Walker and Dawn Sturgill Gant.
He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, R.J. Sturgill and Elizabeth Kathleen Owens Sturgill Rhodes; paternal grandparents, Lee Walker and Annie Mae Walker.
He is survived by his mother, Dawn Sturgill Gant and husband Ron of Moravian Falls; father, Larry Wayne Walker of Wilkesboro; two sisters, Addie Walker, Brooke Walker; a brother, Andrew Walker all of Moravian Falls; step grandparents, William Ronald Gant and wife Faye of North Wilkesboro; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Flowers will be accepted, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
