Ms. Willa Sue Ward, age 78, of Roaring River passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Roaring River Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wood officiating.
Willa was born August 20, 1947, in Wilkes County to Willie and Annie Sue Baldwin Ward. She was a member of Roaring River Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters; Alma Gilligan, Linda Ward, Ellen Johnson, two brothers; Johnny Ward and Wayne Ward.
She is survived by five sisters; Betty Wyatt of North Wilkesboro, Edna Call of North Wilkesboro, Selma Ward of Roaring River, Gaynell Shamel (Ray) of Roaring River, Carolyn Harris (Jimmy) of North Dakota, sisters-in-law; Lillie Ward, Marie Ward, and brother-in-law; Johnny Johnson.
