He was an active member in the church serving in many roles such as, Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent, and delegate to the Yadkin Valley Association. He was a faithful member and often was the first to volunteer for whatever the church needed. Wilbur “June” was extremely passionate about his church and God’s work!
Wilbur “June” had a green thumb and anything that he planted grew in abundance. It gave him great joy to share his vegetables with friends, family, and the community. He was very well known around the area for his kindness and generosity to others. He loved people and he never met a stranger! His laughter was contagious and brought smiles to many.
