Wayne Nathaniel Griffin

Mr. Wayne Nathaniel Griffin, age 73, of Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Highway 16. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, September 8, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Wayne was born December 17, 1951, in Wilkes County to Richard Allen and Candace Griffin. He spent 10 plus years in the ministry as a preacher. Wayne was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed working on his lawn mower and spending time hunting. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his brother; Ernest Griffin. 

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Griffin of the home, two sons; David Griffin (Jamie) of North Wilkesboro, Ricky Griffin (Crystal) of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren, James Griffin, Morgan Griffin, Kendra Griffin, one great-grandchild; David Lee Stanley, and a sister; Elva Winebarger of Wilkesboro. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC  27017.
