Mrs. Wanda “Faye” Adams Hendren, age 77 of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Sherrill Wellborn officiating.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hendren was born March 22, 1948, in Wilkes County to Dewey Monroe and Virginia “Genie” Wood Adams.  She was a member of Old-Fashioned Baptist Church where she loved to attend.  She was loved and cherished by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Faye’s favorite pastime was spending time with family and watching wrestling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Atwood and Carol Stroud; and four brothers, Roby Adams, Wayne Adams, J.D. Adams, and Dean Adams.

Faye is survived by her husband, Lester Joe Hendren, of the home; one sister, Bobbie Benge (William) of Millers Creek; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
