Mrs. Wanda Brown Dishmon, 71 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Souther officiating.  Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 PM until 1:45 PM at the church prior to the service. 

She was born October 29, 1952, in Wilkes County to William Burette and Edith Marie Brown.  Wanda loved and cared for her family, especially her fur baby Spice. She loved the Lord, her church and church family and had a passion to sing and help others in need. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and flowers.  She leaves behind a remarkable legacy of love, dedication, and creativity.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Norman Dishmon; and one step-son, Terry Dishmon.

She is survived by two step-daughters; Michelle Parsons and husband, David of Millers Creek, and Dawn Riddle and husband, David of South Jordan, UT; one step-son, Tommy Dishmon and fiancé, Kristie Harbison of Newton; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Susan Brown of North Wilkesboro, Linda Johnson (B.J.) of Millers Creek, and Sherry Barber of Cornelius; one brother, William Brown (Julie) of Wilkesboro; and many loving nieces and nephews.
