Mr. Walter John Lovette, age 84 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Walter was born March 2, 1941, in Wilkes County to Frances Lovette Hinshaw. He was a United States Army Veteran and retired as a supervisor from Tyson/Holly Farms. He enjoyed walking on the beach and camping, his favorite past-time was watching his grandsons play sports. Walter never parted ways with you without saying “keep smiling”.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister; Peggy Pilcher.
He is survived by a son; Jeff Lovette and wife Kim of North Wilkesboro, grandchildren; Zachary Lovette and wife Kaelyn of Wilkesboro, Zane Lovette of North Wilkesboro, three sisters; Judy Wood of Hays, Penny Jordan and husband Floyd of Winston-Salem, Darlene Greene and husband Bobby of Clingman and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice, 945 Zepher Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
