Virginia Ford Markle

Mrs. Virginia Ford Markle, age 97 of Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at her home. 

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, October 21, 2021 at St. John’s Catholic Church with Father John Hanic officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.   

Mrs. Markle was born July 11, 1924 in Louisville, KY to Charles Earl and Alma Mae Schabel Ford.  She was an active and devoted member of St. John’s Catholic Church. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. 

She is survived by her husband; Harold Merle Markle of the home, four daughters; Rosemary Markle of Wilkesboro, Carolyn Markle Moench of Clemmons, Mary Markle Lankford and husband Mack Lankford of Millers Creek, Helen Markle Gunton of North Wilkesboro, three sons; Ford Markle and wife Gabrielle Moses-Markle of Charlotte, Brian Markle and wife Ellen Payne Markle of Charlotte, Charles Markle and wife Lyvonne Dameron Markle of Elkin, nine grandchildren; Virginia and Kathy Moench-Barba, Deirdre Moench, Kirk Gunton, Blake Markle and wife Tori Markle, Brittany Markle, Jonathan Markle, Brianna Markle, Leah Markle, Zach Markle, two great grandchildren; Lucas Markle and Jax Markle.
