Virginia Mae (Young) Bell

Mrs. Virginia Mae Young Bell, age 75, of North Wilkesboro passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday,  February 23, 2021 at Second Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro with Rev. Danny Dillard and Rev. Keith Foster officiating. The public may view from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. 

Mrs. Bell was born November 26, 1945 in Pittsylvania, VA to Arthur Lee “Archie” and Delia Mae Jennings Young. She was employed almost 50 years at Mulberry Elementary School.  She loved to read her bible daily and go to church.  She loved anything to do with her grandchildren and loved her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Bell, Sr.; a daughter, Angela Stanley; and a brother, Tony Young. 

She is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Bell of North Wilkesboro, Sabrina Bell of North Wilkesboro, Misty Bell of North Wilkesboro; three sons, Tim Bell and wife Kim of Wilkesboro, Wayne Bell of North Wilkesboro, and Keith Foster of Hays; six grandchildren, Ashley Stanley, Timothy Bell, Rusty Bell, Zack Bell, Sydney Bell, and Victoria Young; three great grandchildren, Addyson Johnston, Alyvia Bell, and Alyon Bell; two sisters, Carol Johnson of Hays, and Brenda Elledge of Millers Creek, a brother James Young and wife June of North Wilkesboro; a son-in-law, Jimmy Stanley; a beloved furbaby, Shaggy; and several nieces and nephews. 

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Virginia Bell Memorial Fund at Mulberry Elementary School, 190 Mulberry School Rd. North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
