Virginia Combs Dancy, 78, widow of David Lee Dancy, of Wilkesboro passed away peacefully Friday June 27, 2025, at her home with family.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, June 30, 2025, at Flint Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Souther, Rev. Wayne May and Brother Noah Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the church. The burial will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

Virginia was born March 10, 1947, in Wilkes County to Harvey and Joyce Lunsford Combs. She was a faithful member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

She retired from Tyson Foods with 35 years of service, and then from Suncrest Farms with 15 more years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Lee Dancy; 5 sisters; Cora Jarvis, Lucille May, Nancy Combs, Zelma Call and Mildred Gregory; and 10 brothers; Clifford Hendren, Jim Hendren, Lonnie Combs, Jesse Combs, Edward Combs, Earl Combs, R.L Combs, Roger Combs, Harvey Jr. Combs, and Commie Combs.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children; Rita Holland (Todd) of Wilkesboro, Jennifer Lovette (Michael) of North Wilkesboro, and Amanda Carico of North Wilkesboro.

Her grandchildren; Cory Colbert (Brianna) of North Wilkesboro, Caitlin Lovette of Los Angeles, Alona Carico of North Wilkesboro, Aryia Church of North Wilkesboro and Kaden Lovette of North Wilkesboro,

Her great grandchildren; Camden Baker of Virginia, and Claire Virginia Colbert of North Wilkesboro.

Her sister Sarah Pierce (Curley) of North Wilkesboro and brother Roby Combs (Betty) of Hays.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Flint Hill Baptist Church, 1425 Flint Hill Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
