Virgie Ree (Bowlin) Howie

Mrs. Virgie Bowlin Howie, age 84 of Taylorsville passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Carolina Caring Hospice Home in Newton.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Roten/Absher Cemetery with Rev. Benny Roten officiating.

Virgie was born on May 26,1938 in Wilkes County to Alvin and Dollie Roten Bowlin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter; Debbie Kerley, a son; Toney Griffin, a sister; Kay Brown, and a brother; Paul Bowlin.

She is survived by three grandchildren; Heath Griffin, Anthony Griffin, and James Kerley, a great-grandchild; Toney Griffin, a sister; Mary Bowlin of Ronda, a sister-in-law; Kay Bowlin of Millers Creek, a daughter-in-law; Tammy Griffin, and a son-in-law; Mike Kerley of Taylorsville, a niece Angela Day and husband Dale of Millers Creek and several other nieces and nephews.
