Mrs. Vinnie Walker Andrews, age 98 of Boomer passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Wilkes Assisted Living. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Little Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Hal Greene and Rev. Robert Livingston officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. 

Vinnie was born May 13, 1927, in Alexander County to Cephus and Lela Medlock Walker.  She was a faithful member of Little Rock Baptist Church and loved her church family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Sidney Alton Andrews, four brothers; Lloyd “Dodge” Walker, Jim Walker, Frank Walker, and Lewis Walker, three sisters; Ann Ferguson, Grace Walsh and Nell Winkler, two sons-in-law; Rick Hatton and Larry Burris and a great grandson; Zachary “Zack” Hatton. 

She is survived by four daughters; Neal Warren (Ben) of Lenoir, Judy Burris of Winston-Salem, Debbie Hatton (Bob) of Boomer, Shirley Sanders (Grayson) of Lenoir, two sons; Roger Andrews of Lenoir, Ronnie  Andrews (Susan) of Boomer, a sister; Faye Spears (Richard) of Boomer, grandchildren; Doug Jenson, Kelly Turnmire, Chasity Andrews, Jessica Watson, Matthew Andrews, Lindsay Hatton, C.G. Andrews, Tyler Sanders, Nathan Sanders, five step-grandchildren; Darren, Chuck, Teresa, Tammy and April, great grandchildren; Sydney and Ben, Abby and Mollie, Luke, Jaxon and Sydney and Andrew. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 248 Little Rock Baptist Church Road, Boomer, NC 28606.
