Vertie Irene (Foster) Presley

Ms. Vertie Irene Foster Presley, age 89, of North Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026, at The Greens of Spruce Pine.

Private services will be held.

Vertie was born June 13, 1936, in Wilkes County to Dewey and Stacey Williams Foster.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Delton Presley and seven siblings.

She is survived by her sons, Stewart Thomas Presley (Angie) of North Wilkesboro, Steven Tracy Presley (Debbie) of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Pricilla Presley of North Wilkesboro, Stephanie Miller (Chad) of North Wilkesboro, Traci Presley Barker (Blake) of Waynesville, Angela Presley of Mooresville; great-grandchildren, Harrison Miller, Evelyn Miller, Sterling Presley Barker, Sullivan Presley Barker, Cora Presley Barker, Florence Presley Barker, Wayne Presley Carreno, Anya Presley Carreno and sisters, Ann Elledge of North Wilkesboro and Betty Brown of North Wilkesboro.
