Mr. Vernon Aldine Logan, age 84, of North Wilkesboro passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Justin Cheek and Rev. Donnie Shumate officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM prior to the service. Entombment will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Vernon was born on May 13, 1941, in Surry County to Thomas and Pauline “Pernie” Morefield Logan. Vernon never met a stranger, greeting everyone with warmth and kindness that made them feel instantly at ease. He shared a special place in his heart for children, whose laughter and joy brought him immeasurable happiness.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Whitaker, Jackie Adkins, Linda Jones, Ruby Logan; two brothers, Ray Morefield and Frank Logan.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Cox Logan of the home and several loving nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Scot Brown, Jordan Brown, Josh Cox, Eli Cox, Dustin Adams, and Luke Johnson.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist - Wilkes Medical Center and Aero-Care Medical Supply for their compassionate care, kindness, and unwavering support during this difficult time.
