Troy Nance

Mr. Troy Nance, age 81 of Ronda, died Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Allen Shepherd.  The family will receive friends before the service from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mr. Nance was born March 17, 1941 in Wilkes County to Floyd William and Ruby Mae Shew Nance.  He was the leader of shipping at LP Corporation.  He loved to watch his son and grandson race and loved to be outdoors on his farm and with his cows.  He loved animals and never let one be alone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Blevins Nance; two sons, Adam Nance and Eric Nance; and one sister, Judy Call.

He is survived by three sons, Troy Bryan Nance and wife, Sandy, of Ronda, Joe Nance, and Bobby Nance of Florida; five grandchildren, Amanda Nance, Matthew Nance, Jacob Nance, Lauren Holloway, and Kaitlyn Holloway; two great-grandchildren, Wrennlee Ann Wiles and Waylen Matthew Nance; two sisters, Tearsa Nance and Hazel Paige, both of North Wilkesboro; and three brothers, Clayton Nance of Chicago, and Buck Nance and Charles Nance, both of North Wilkesboro; and several fur babies, Bear, Snickers, Amy, and Ugly.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson NC 27017.
