Travis Bernard Baker

Mr. Travis Bernard Baker, age 92, of Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services were held 2:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Collins officiating. Entombment with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign War Post 1142 was in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Travis was born March 19, 1933, in Wilkes County to Charles Hafford and Sarah Ann Church Baker. Travis was married 72 years. He was a member of Hinshaw Baptist Church. Travis was involved in music ministry for 65 years. He played the piano and the organ. Music was a big part of his life. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Wade DeForest Baker.

He is survived by his wife; Verlee Absher Baker of the home, two sons; Michael Baker and Bill Baker.
