Mr. William Thomas “Tom” Ferguson, age 74 of Boomer passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at his home. 

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Sharon Walker Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Wilkes and Mr. Chris Nichols officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM.  Burial will be in Sharon Walker Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Tom was born May 30, 1949, in Wilkes County to William Howard and Runie Bell Eller Ferguson.  He was a member of Sharon Walker Baptist Church.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law; Betty Jean Messick and husband Hoit, Marlene Michael and husband Jim, three brothers and sisters-in-law; Reece Eller and wife Claudette, Billy Ferguson and wife Patsy, Jack Ferguson and a brother-in-law; Tommy Hartley. 

He is survived by his wife; Joyce Ann Beshears Ferguson of the home, a daughter; Julie Ferguson of North Wilkesboro, a son; Keith Ferguson and wife Jodie of North Wilkesboro, a step-daughter; Kayla Lawreck and partner Lindsay of Nebraska, seven grandchildren; Megan Hall and husband Tyler, Travis Ferguson, Amber Broyhill, Holly Broyhill, Grant Ferguson, Savanna Broyhill, Anslee Madden and a great grandson; Colston Hall, three sisters; Wanda Michael and husband Melvin, Barbara Russell both of Winston-Salem, Violet Hartley and a sister-in-law; Iris Ferguson both of Boomer. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial made be made to Sharon Walker Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 8780 West NC 268, Boomer, NC 28606.
