Thomas Warren Bumgarner

Mr. Thomas Warren Bumgarner, age 74 of Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, November 4, 2019 in West Jefferson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 Friday, November 8, 2019 at Union Baptist Church in Hamptonville, with Rev. Kenny Pardue and Mr. Reggie Johnson officiating. Burial with Military Honors by the National Guard will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Bumgarner was born October 27, 1945 in Wilkes County to Warren Stephen Bumgarner and Vera Thelma Eller Bumgarner. He was an Automobile Dealer. Mr. Bumgarner was a member of Union Baptist Church in Hamptonville. Tom loved to sing, ride 4 wheelers, camp, explore, ski and loved being outdoors and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Bumgarner is survived by his wife; Karen Mathis Bumgarner of the home, mother in law; Patty Mathis of North Wilkesboro, sister in law; LuAnn Johnson and husband Reggie of North Wilkesboro, two beloved nieces; Breanne Hinson and husband Steve of Knoxville, TN and Grace Johnson of North Wilkesboro and several cousins.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
