Thomas Graves Bryant

Mr. Thomas Graves Bryant, age 67 of Richburg, SC passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at his brother’s home in Purlear, NC.

He was born on April 13, 1958, in Farmington, Missouri to Rolla Gene and Carol Jane Graves Bryant.  Thomas was a member of the National Sporting Clays Association.  He helped found the Sidney Nebraska Shooting Park and helped organize Youth Mentor Hunts for Pheasants Forever in Sidney, Nebraska.  He was a member of Vintagers shot gunning group and a past member of Trout Unlimited.

Tom was an avid sporting clays enthusiast with a deep knowledge and affinity for antique side by side shotguns.  Tom’s knowledge of firearms of all types was exceptional, and many sought out Tom for advice and expertise.

Tom loved quail and pheasant hunting with his beloved Llewellyn Setter, Bleu and his English Setter, Jack.  He deeply enjoyed sharing this love of hunting with new generations of bird hunters through the local chapter of Pheasant Forever during their youth mentor hunts.  Prior to his time in the high plains of the west; Tom enjoyed fly fishing for trout in the mountains of NC.  He took that love with him west, where he fished frequently in Wyoming and Colorado.  He loved the west and the many people he befriended.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by a brother, John Walter Bryant (Valerie Rizzo) of Purlear, NC; niece, Maris Bowlby of Raleigh, NC; nephew, Adam Bryant of Cambridge, Massachusetts and Andrew Rizzo.  He dearly loved his niece and nephew and thoroughly enjoyed his time with them.
