Thomas Adkins Obituary
Mr. Garvin Adkins, age 90 of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 in Dobson.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, November 13, 2020 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Sherrill Wellborn, Pastor David Lyalls and Rev. Dwayne Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service in the cemetery.
Mr. Adkins was born November 8, 1930 in Wilkes County to Thomas Gillbright and Zora Cox Adkins. He played the harmonica, loved to sing and he loved Jesus. He liked to travel and have picnics and to play bingo. He was a member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
He is survived by a sister; Melverine Triplett and four nieces; Loretta Atkins, Colleen Church, Mary Triplett, and Claudine Church.
