Terry Warfield Spainhour, Born September 27, 1953 -Died April 15, 2024
Terry "passed the finishing line" after a long period of battling heart disease and other ailments as well as enduring a serious motorcycle accident.
He was born to Francis (Frank) Warfield Spainhour and Clara Marie Wooten Spainhour (deceased). He is survived by his loving daughter Victoria (Tori) Marie Spainhour and partner Andrew Roth of New York City, granddaughter Audrey Spainhour, two sisters, Brenda Arthur of Salisbury, and Sue Ingram of Kernersville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Terry lived a vigorous 28- year career in Winston Salem and Forsyth County in Law Enforcement. He summarized his life by saying it was like an old clock with a pendulum that swung to its limits in both directions of good and bad. He was silently proud of the "good" in his life, and equally "saddened" by the bad. Evaluating his own history, he would say "God has blessed me by allowing exposure to all things people willingly do to each other that the public only dream about.
His favorite quote was from a speech given by Theodore Roosevelt called "The Man in the Arena". Some of his favorite scriptures were Romans 13:1-4 and Psalms 27:1-4.
Terry loved his daughter more than anything, loved his job, loved getting rowdy from time to time, and loved his Harley Davidson.
Memorial services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Unity Moravian Church in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 10:45 AM until 11:30 AM prior to the service at the church.
Above all earthly issues, he cherished his relationship with God and his Savior Jesus Christ. Another quote he would share is "Being a Christian doesn't make you "good", it makes you “forgiven”.
Many thanks and memories for the brotherly love shared by Bill W., Dr. Bob., Joe Kiser, Mike S., and Ponytail Joe.
Flowers will be accepted.
