Teresa Lynn Rhodes

Mrs. Teresa Lynn Rhodes, age 54 of Hays, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at SECU Hospice Care Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held for family and friends at a later date.

Teresa was born on July 31, 1971, in Wilkes County to Mary Ellen Combs. Teresa was a devoted and selfless mother whose greatest joy in life was her family — including her beloved furbabies, Mika, Thelma, Louise, Lulu, Rico, Gizmo, and Tigger. She poured her heart into creating a home filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Family meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved, taking great pride in the bonds that held them close. Teresa’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to be part of her life.

She is preceded in death by her mother Mary Ellen Combs.

She is survived by her husband; Austin Nichalus Brafford of the home, daughter; Constance Fine (Jeffery) of Harmony, five sons; Brian Rhodes (Jessica) of North Wilkesboro, Connor Rhodes of North Wilkesboro, Christopher Combs (Angela) of Camp LeJeune, Logan Combs of North Wilkesboro, Avery Brafford of Hays, ten grandchildren; Caiden Combs-Correa, Hayden Groncki, Preston Holbrook, Raelynn Fine, Trinity Rhodes, Alora Pearcy, Colton Toney, Jaxon Rhodes, Kamryn Rhodes, Karter Rhodes, sister; Stephanie Johnson (Bobby) of North Wilkesboro, and brother; Franklin Darrell Combs.
