Obituary
Mrs. Tandy Annette Walker, age 41 of Roaring River passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 at home.
Funeral services will be held Friday 2:00 PM, August 9, 2019 at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Poole, Rev. Robert Hill, Jr., Overseer Francis Scott, and Rev. Casey Walker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
Mrs. Walker was born July 26, 1978 in Wilkes County to Rayford and Kay Lavonne Gentry Walker. She worked as a lab technician for Solace Behavioral Health. Mrs. Walker received her Bachelor's degree from Winston-Salem State and a Master's degree from Gardner Webb University. She was member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher, choir member and was a caregiver to her father.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Madison Belle Harris; two sisters, Toni Nannette Walker Boles and Tabitha La-nette Walker Dick.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons; Jefffery Rayvon Harris and Mason Jermane Harris both of Wilkesboro, one brother; Rev, Casey R. Walker of Wilkesboro, special friends; George Harris and Carmen Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
