Mrs. Sylvia Alma Minton Prevette, age 92 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 24, 2025.  She was born on March 20, 1932, to Ransom Edgar Minton and Connie Lee Parker Minton.  She worked at L&L as a seamstress and worked in the office at Holly Farms. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Tharpe officiating. 

Sylvia loved her grandkids and great grandkids.  She also loved animals and working outside. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Lake Arlen Prevette and two sisters; Edna Lee Wright and Darcie Lee Call. 

She is survived by a daughter; Sandra (Jack) Hunter of Wilkesboro, a son; Gary Michael (Beverly) Prevette of North Wilkesboro, granddaughters; Melissa (Eric) Hunter Eason of Ft. Myers, FL, Elizabeth (Dan) Prevette Fassinger of North Wilkesboro, great granddaughters; Sarah Lin Fassinger, Emily Leann Fassinger, Julianna Marie Eason and a brother; Edgar R. Minton of Millers Creek.
