Mrs. Shirley Jean Cook Moore, age 87, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Villages of Wilkes.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Tim McCann officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

Shirley was born September 23, 1938, to Paul Samuel and Bertha Willis Mays Cook.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Neal Cook and Ex-Husband & father of her children Darryl M. Moore.

She is survived by her daughter, Hope Calloway of Winston-Salem; sons, Jeff Moore (Donna) of Millers Creek, Mike Moore (Jane) of Wilkesboro, Steve Moore of Yadkinville; grandchildren, Ashley Stanley (Brian), Matthew Moore (Cindy), Kristie Moore, Alexandria Moore, Elizabeth Reins (Joseph) Samantha Cannady (Parker), Marina Cass (Brett), Sierra Burns (Chris), Logan Calloway, Leah Calloway and thirteen great-grandchildren.
