Sharon Demetrest Barnes

Sharon Demetrest Barnes, age 61 of North Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, December 15th, 2024 peacefully in the comfort of her own home. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday. December 21st, 2024 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Casey Walker officiating.  The family will be gathering at 1:00 PM Saturday at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Sharon was born on March 18th, 1963, in Beckley County, West Virginia to Norman and Lillian Barnes Howell.  She was preceded in death by her mother. 

Sharon was a dedicated mother and grandmother.  She adored her sons and grandson.  She loved her family more than anything.  

She is survived by father; Norman Howell of North Wilkesboro, two sons; Durrell Banks of Charlotte and Dominique Banks of North Wilkesboro, a grandson; Donavan Banks, Baby Boy Banks due in March, a brother; Tracy Howell of North Wilkesboro and a host of other family members and friends.
