Mr. Sanford R. Call Jr., age 92 of Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Westwood Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Cranberry Baptist Church with the Rev. Victor Church officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was born on August 1, 1933, in Wilkes County to Sanford R. Call, Sr. and Cecil McDaneil Call.  He was a member of Cranberry Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Staley Call; his second wife, Toby Mathis Williams Call; and three brothers, James Leonard Call, Billy Franklin Call and Toy Lee Call.

He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Curry (Jerry) of Wilkesboro; two sons, Mark Call (Rebecca) of Wilkesboro and Jerry Wyatt (Zenie) of Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Nicholas Curry, Coy Curry, and Amanda Souther (Brad); five great grandchildren, Lexi Miller, Tyler Curry, Summerlin Curry, Dylan Paulson, and Lauren Eller (Duncan); one great great grandchild, Beau Paulson; and one sister, Carol Shew (Haywood) of Wilkesboro.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice.
