Samuel Tilden Webster, III

Mr. Samuel Tilden Webster, III, age 78 of Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his home. 

Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Mr. Doug Rollins and Mr. Michael Lankford officiating.  Burial with Military Honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens Cemetery.   The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mr. Webster was born July 20, 1942 in Guilford County to Sam and Martha Thompson Webster.  He served in the United States Navy for 2 years and retired from the North Carolina Highway Patrol as First Sergeant after 32 years of service.  He was an avid golfer at Oakwoods Country Club, a big fan of the North Carolina State Wolf Pack and the Carolina Panthers. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his wife; Debra Jean Hollar Webster of the home, a daughter; Kim Reese and husband Scott of Vilas, NC, a son; Kurt Webster and wife Deidra of Conover, two step-sons; Michael Lankford and wife; Nathalie of Waxhaw and Woody Lankford and wife Mindy of Granite Falls, seven grandchildren; Walker Reese, Kellyn Reese, Keaton Webster,  Woody Lankford, III, Noah Lankford, Coleman Lankford and Emma Lankford and one brother; Steve Webster of Richmond, VA. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Care At-Home Hospice, 126 Executive Drive, Suite 110, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
