Sally Sue (Gant) Bumgarner

Sally Gant Bumgarner beloved wife, mother and grandmother, age 76 of North Wilkesboro entered into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Blake and Rev. Glenn Dancy, III officiating.

Sally was born June 2, 1944 in Wilkes County to Arvel Alexander and Mary Reavis Gant. She worked for Wilkes County schools as a Teacher Assistant for 30 years until retirement. She was a dedicated and beloved Sunday school teacher at Hilltop Baptist Church.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents.

Sally is survived by her husband, Larry Thomas Bumgarner of the home; two daughters, Alissa Bumgarner Smith (Michael) of Mill Spring and Kelli Alaine Bumgarner of the home; two grandchildren, Kamden Billings and Bethany Smith; two sisters, Lillie Jennings of North Wilkesboro and Barbara Gant (Pete) of North Wilkesboro; four brothers, Ray Gant (Sharon) of  Warner Robbins, GA, Gilbert Gant of Jacksonville, FL, Jerry Gant of Dobson, and Michael Gant (Leigh) of Lawrenceville, GA; a sister-in-law, Mickey Shumate; Many beloved nieces and nephews; Her church family and special friends and neighbors, Brenda and Bobby Combs and Jackie and Bill Setzer.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hilltop Baptist Church 161 Fairplains Rd. North Wilkesboro, NC  28659.

The family lovingly requests that all attending wear face coverings.
