Mrs. Sadie Elizabeth Nell Mitchell Wingler, age 96 of Moravian Falls passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 AM, Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Moravian Falls Community Cemetery with Dr. Chris Hefner officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.  

Sadie was born on January 1, 1927, to Joseph Monroe and Esther Harris Mitchell.  She was an artist and avid gardener and fisherwoman.  Sadie loved Jesus and her children.  She was a very determined and resourceful lady.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, JohnArlin Edgar Wingler, Jr., one daughter, Jane Esther Brooks; two sons, James Arlin Wingler and Joseph Monroe Wingler; four sisters, Christine Freeman, Alice Church, Lola Golden, Lois Mitchell; three brothers, Duke Mitchell, Joseph Monroe (Boe) Mitchell, Luther Mitchell; one sister-in-law, Mildred Mitchell; three brothers-in-law, Joe Freeman, Will Church and Lonnie Robinson.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Ann Broyhill and husband Bobby of Moravian Falls, and Joice Lee Ollison of Moravian Falls; one son, Johnny Theodore Wingler of Moravian Falls; eight grandchildren, Mary Ann Burleson and husband Shawn, Scott Garvey Wagoner and wife Lisa, Cindy Wagoner, Eddie Dean Minton Jr., Marty Wayne Minton, Jonathan Russ Minton, Deana Swain and husband Shaun, Shannon Marie Hamilton Arthur and husband Daryl; one sister, Evla Robinson of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Richard Mitchell of Amarillo, TX; many great grandchildren and many many great great grandchildren
