Sadie Caroline (Williams) Eller

Mrs. Sadie Caroline Williams Eller, age 89, of Ferguson passed away Friday, April 3, 2026, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Andrews officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at the church.

Sadie was born on June 15, 1936, in Wilkes County to Charlie Williams, Sr. and Sylvania Caroline Smithey Glass. She was a member at Lewis Fork Baptist Church. Sadie was a member of the adult choir, taught children’s Sunday School and bible school classes for many years. Sadie was a farmer’s wife and always had a garden. She canned food for as long as she was physically able. She dearly loved her family, church, community and friends; cherishing the time she spent with them.

Sadie was a large influence on her two grandchildren whom she loved dearly and was very proud of them and all their accomplishments. Her final months at home were made possible and more enjoyable by her caregiver and friend Pat Laws, and then later with the help of Linda Winters.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Frank Eller; a son, Dennis Eller; sister, Mishia Poteat; brothers, Leo Williams, Bill Williams, Charlie Williams, Jr., Carl Williams; half-sisters, Jane Spicer, Rachel Steelman, Epsie Williams and half-brother, J.P. “Jake” Glass.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Caroline Eller (Maurizio Torrieri) of Timonium, Maryland; a son, Neal Eller and spouse Kim of Ferguson; grandchildren, Cody Eller (Katie) of Whitsett and Sydney Eller of Wilkesboro.
