Ruth Folkes Obituary

Mrs. Ruth Quay Brungard Folkes age 96 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Wilkes Senior Village.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Folkes was born October 23, 1923 in Centre County, PA to Lewis William Brungard and Jane Agnes Quay Brungard. She was a member of Community Church of Vero Beach Fl.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Folkes is survived by two sons; David R. Whitman and wife Jennifer of Wilkesboro and William B. Whitman and wife Debra of Strausberg, PA, three grandchildren; Matthew D. Whitman of North Wilkesboro, Adam D. Whitman of Boulder, CO and Sarah E. Gillette of Connecticut and a great grandchild; Jonathan Gillette.
