Russell Hance Anderson

Mr. Russell Hance Anderson, age 59 of Roaring River passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Brier Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM prior to service at the church.

Russell was born November 15, 1963.  He worked for Tyson Foods for over 40 years, he loved his job and was a very loyal and dedicated employee and he loved people.

In addition to his parents, Robert “Jack” and Ella Mae Blackburn Anderson; he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Richard “Larry” Anderson; and his wife, Kay.

He is survived by two nieces, Kimberly Weatherman and husband Bryan of Jonesville, Lisa Douglas of Concord; a nephew, Richie Anderson and wife Alisha of Roaring River; great nieces, Megan Crosswhite and husband Matthew, Lakyn Stewart, Halle Day, Bailey Martin and husband Eddie, Tia Sparks, Anna Anderson, Caybree Poplin; great nephew, Carson Poplin; and several great-great nieces and nephews.
