Rozella Pilkenton Miller

Mrs. Rozella Pilkenton Miller, age 92 of Deep Gap passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Monday, July 7, 2025 at White Oak Baptist Church in Millers Creek with Rev. Dean Crane and Rev. Scotty Roten officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the church. 

Rozella was born February 4, 1933, in Wilkes County to Ira Murphy and Myrtle Emeline Griffin Pilkenton.  She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and she enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and her grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Judson Leland Miller, four sisters, and four brothers. 

She is survived by a daughter; Gaynell “Nellie” Whitaker and husband Jeffrey of Ronda, two sons; Gary Leland Miller and wife Margaret of Millers Creek, Rickey J. Miller and girlfriend; Pam of Deep Gap, seven grandchildren; Elizabeth Milligan, Jeffrey Miller and wife Cristen, April Miller, Vanessa Nichols, Valerie Smith and husband Lantz, Jeremy Whitaker and wife Crystal, Cody Whitaker and wife Stacy, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and a sister; Christine Wyatt of Millers Creek.
