Rosie Contley (Spears) Griffin

Mrs. Rosie Spears Griffin, age 84 passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Accordius of Statesville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00AM at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Eddie Tharpe officiating.  Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Rosie was born September 13, 1937 in Wilkes County to Daughty and Polly Church Spears.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Paul Jackson Griffin; a son Melvin Griffin and a granddaughter; Heaven Marie Griffin.

She is survived by five daughters; Geraldine Limon of Moravian Falls, Patricia Griffin of North Wilkesboro, Brenda Griffin of Wilkesboro, Betty Taylor of Millers Creek, Ellena Griffin of Wilkesboro, two sons; Ray Griffin of Wilkesboro, Michael Griffin of North  Wilkesboro. Thirteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, two sisters; Elzena Huffman, Mozelle Laws and a brother; Junior Spears all of Wilkesboro.
