Ronalda Ruth (Landells) Athon

Mrs. Ronalda Ruth Landells Athon, age 92 of Moravian Falls passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at her home.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.

She was born on February 11, 1932, in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Ronald and Agnus Ruth Parker Landells.  Ronalda loved Jesus with all her heart and raised 5 energetic children with love and joy.  She was a creative, generous, loving, peaceful, kind, gentle, caring, artistic, and a patient Nanny for five young ladies.  She enjoyed reading, coloring, and putting together jigsaw puzzles.  She spent her last year’s encouraging, loving, and praying for others always seeing the bright side of life.  Ronalda loved greatly and was loved by so many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Kimberly Ruth Wilson, and a brother Ronald Landells.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol M. Athon Wilson and husband Timothy of Moravian Falls and Sharon K. Athon Delozier and husband, Jim of Ramona, CA; three sons, Ronald L. Athon and wife Laurene of Greeneville, TN, Donald L. Athon and wife, Cindy of Atascadero, CA and Thomas D. Athon and wife, Linda of Kansas City, MO;  twelve grandchildren, Megan Byrd (Rick), Holly Uhler (Brian), Stacy  Willis (Cody), David Athon, Stephen  Athon (Jennifer), Amanda Charliton (Chad), Letitia Garber (Levi), Teresa Wilson (Joe Cottin), Susan Mueller (Ben), Jordan Delozier (Kaytlyn), Lucas Delozier and Jacob Delozier; sixteen great grandchildren, Rhonan and Eamon Bird, Logan, Brieonna and Ethan Garber, Nash and Cade Uhler, Emelia and Ezra Athon and one on the way, Jane and David Mueller, Alex Rose and Aura Delozier, Kaylee and Cory Charliton.
