Mr. Robert Allen Conley, age 85, of Millers Creek passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation. 

Graveside services with full Military Honors by the United States Army will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Scenic Memorial Gardens. Father John Hanic will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Robert was born April 26, 1940, in Ashland, Kentucky to William and Thelma Conley.  He was retired from the United States Army Special Forces, where he served in the Vietnam War. After his military service he worked as a Corrections Officer with the NC Department of Corrections.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter; Sandra Conley Gilbert, grandson; James Conley, and a brother; Billy Conley. 

He is survived by his wife; Sieglinde Conley of the home, son; Allen E. Conley and wife Betty of Millers Creek, five grandchildren; Brandon Conley, April Burke, Julian Gilbert, Meghan Eller, Heather Gilbert, three great-grandchildren; Jason Burke, Fisher Gilbert, and Jaiden Eller. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
