Mr. Robert James Cardwell, age 73, of Millers Creek passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center.
Private Graveside Service with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 and NC National Guard will be held at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Rev. Ken Pardue officiating.
Robert was born June 24, 1948 in Wilkes County to Conrad and Pauline Smithey Cardwell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Gladys Broyhill Cardwell, one sister; Helen Watts, and three brothers; Jimmy Ray Cardwell, Ronald Cardwell, and Earl Cardwell.
He is survived by two daughters; Renae Ritenour and husband David, and Lori Burgess and husband James all of North Wilkesboro, four grandchildren; Isaac Ritenour, Davis Ritenour, Ella Burgess, and Connor Burgess, four sisters; Susie Cardwell Rauth, Barbara Cardwell, Francis Cardwell, and JoAnn Callaway, a brother; Calvin Cardwell.
