Rev. Gwyn Wilson Anderson

Rev. Gwyn Wilson Anderson, age 78 of Wilkesboro went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at his home, with his family by his side. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Sherrill Wellborn officiating.  Burial will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens. 

Rev. Anderson was born January 17, 1947, in Wilkes County to George Wilson and Marie Anderson.  

Gwyn was a faithful and dedicated servant of God, ministering for over 50 years. A loving, thoughtful, kind, and educated man with a doctorate in Divinity, Theology and Biblical Studies. He served as a pastor at churches in Tennessee and North Carolina, retiring from Little Elkin Baptist Church after 20 years of service. 

He is survived by his wife; Martha Parsons Anderson, a son; Jeff Anderson of Richmond, VA, a sister; Susie McGlamery and husband Johnny of Millers Creek, four brothers; Calvin Anderson of Wilkesboro, Clayton Anderson and wife Marsha of Millers Creek, Russell Anderson and wife Barbara of Moravian Falls, Tim Anderson and wife Sandra of Millers Creek and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Michael and Kenny Anderson.
