Rev. Conrad Clayton Hefner, age 75, of Millers Creek passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at his apartment in his favorite chair.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Wilkesboro Baptist Church with Dr. Chris Hefner, Dr. Robert Hefner and Mrs. Christina Browning officiating.
Conrad was born on September 23, 1950, in Catawba County to Ralph and Ona Pope Hefner. Conrad married the love of his life, Elaine, on August 2, 1970. He pastored five churches during nearly 50 years of ministry. He deeply longed to be reunited with his wife and to be with his Lord in heaven.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Elaine Couch Hefner and one sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Browning (Blake) of Covington, Kentucky; sons, Dr. Christopher Hefner (Jean) of Wilkesboro, Dr. Robert Hefner (Diana) of Pleasant Garden; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Keeton, Joseph Hefner, William Hefner, Nathan Hefner and two brothers and four sisters.
