Rebecca Leigh Johnson

Ms. Rebecca Leigh Johnson, age 38 of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2021 at Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Marc Abernathy officiating.  Rev. Steve Smith will conduct the graveside service.  Burial will be in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.  Ms. Johnson will lie-in-state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.   

Ms. Johnson was born April 7, 1982 in Wilkes County to Walter Cline Johnson, Jr. and Sherry Denise Johnston Johnson.  Rebecca attended Appalachian State University where she received a Master’s Degree in Accounting.  She attended Fountain of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church. 

She was preceded in death by her mother. 

She is survived by her father and step-mother; Walter Cline Johnson, Jr. and Mary, a sister Victoria Johnson, a brother; Scott Johnson and wife April all of North Wilkesboro, grandfathers; Walter Cline Johnson, Sr. of North Wilkesboro, C.E. Johnston of Millers Creek, a niece; Hannah and a nephew; Nathan. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Watauga Humane Society, 312 Paws Lane, Boone, NC 28607 or the Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Association, 8401 Colesville Road, Suite 200, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
