Reba Byers Absher

Mrs. Reba Miller Byers Absher, age 87 of Millers Creek, passed away, Friday, July 16, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 19, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Millsaps officiating.  The public may view from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Reba was born May 5, 1934 in Wilkes County to Vance and Maude Roten Miller.  Reba loved to cook and she fed everyone that came to visit.  She loved to grow vegetables, flowers and she loved feeding wood to her woodstove.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Byers and Richard Absher; one son Michael Byers; and preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Reba is survived by one daughter, Joyce Bouchelle and husband, Wayne of Wilkesboro; two sons, Danny Byers and wife Wanda of Millers Creek, Johnny Byers and wife, Maureen of Millers Creek; three grandchildren, Jennie Handy and husband Keith, Traci Woodruff and husband Michael, Jackie Brown and husband, Steven; five great grandchildren, Houston Handy, Austin Brown, Gavin Brown, Salem Woodruff, and Zoey Woodruff; one sister, Rae Faw of Wilkesboro.
