Mr. Raymond Donald Appold, age 88 of North Wilkesboro passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Accordius Health at Wilkesboro.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2021    at the VA Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina with Rev. Larry Julian officiating.  There will be public viewing from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, followed by a Prayer Service at 4:00 PM.

Mr. Appold was born September 20, 1933 in Cumberland, MD to Harry Wales and Carrie Jane Miller Appold.  He worshiped with the Upper Room Ministries and retired from General Motors in 1998 after 46 years of service.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Reta Marie Nelson, Mary Louise Miller and a brother; Edward Appold. 

He is survived by his loving wife; Beatrice Appold, a daughter; Nicole Lynn Appold of Cumberland, MD, two sons; John Appold and wife Millie of Havre de Grace, MD and Don Ray Appold and wife Fran of Hanover, PA, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Upper Room Ministries, 475 Hendren Road, Moravian Falls, NC 28654.
