Randall Alan "Randy" Taylor

Mr. Randall Alan Taylor, age 67, of McGrady passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home.

A private family graveside service will be held.

Randall was born on October 11, 1958, in Wilkes County to Donald Ray and Mary Felts Taylor. He will always be remembered as a man with a truly big heart. He was the kind of person who would lend a hand whenever someone needed it and bring warmth and kindness to everyone he met. He had a deep love for fishing and found peace and happiness out on the water, whether it was a quiet morning by the creek or sharing stories with family and friends about the ones that got away. He also took great pride in his work as a master carpenter. With skilled hands and careful craftsmanship, he built not only beautiful pieces and houses, but also lasting memories for those fortunate enough to know his work. He was an avid reader who found comfort and adventure within the pages of books. His love of stories reflected his curiosity about the world and his deep appreciation for imagination, knowledge, and the simple pleasure of turning a page.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kelly Taylor of Candor, NC; grandchildren, Nolyn Smith, Dylan Smith; sister, Teressa Fiala of Westlake, OH; nephew, Robert Fiala; niece, Jennifer Fetterman; great-nieces, Alexandra Fetterman, Elizabeth Fetterman; special cousins, Jane Billings, Tim & Renay Billings, Terry & Kandice Thorley, and Terry & Kim Taylor.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
