Obituary
Mr. Ralph Hardin Simpson Sr., age 95 of Roaring River passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at his residence.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Garrett Miller and Brother Brayden Miller officiating.
Ralph was born November 20, 1927, in Wilkes County to Gilmer Lillington and Annie Lee Morrison Simpson. He was a WWII Veteran and loved people. He was an accomplished musician and could play any instrument by ear.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Matilda Owens Simpson, daughter; Janice Simpson, sister; Pansy Simpson Foster, two brothers; Archie Simpson and Lillington “Shorty” Simpson.
He is survived by a daughter; Linda Miller of Roaring River, son; Ralph Simpson Jr. of Roaring River, grandchildren; Cynda Absher and husband Dennis, Chad Miller and wife Kristie, Richard Simpson and wife Jessica, great-grandchildren; Bryttany and husband Tony Mitchell, Garrett and wife Meredith Miller, Brandon and wife Lexus Absher, Weston and wife Sydney Miller, Brayden Miller, Haleigh Simpson, Faith and husband Nick Martinez, Ryleigh Simpson, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
