Mr. Ralph Arvin Faw, age 79 of North Wilkesboro, husband of Marcia Beshears Faw, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.

Billy Ervin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the church prior to the service. Ralph was born on December 6, 1946, in Wilkes County to James and Ella Mae Holder Faw. Ralph was proudly retired from North Carolina DOT after many decades of service. He was a very active member of Millers Creek United Methodist Church, as he served in many committees and oversaw may activities. He was also a member of the hunting club where he was an avid hunter.

Ralph was and is the love of my life. From day one which began on April 1,1967. We realized we were destined to be together; nothing ever stood in our way. On April 16,1967, he asked to go steady and would I be his sweetheart, no decision was necessary and I was presented a double heart diamond ring to seal the deal he said. May 31,1967, he proposed with a diamond ring that has rarely left my hand in fifty-eight and a half years. We were Married July 26,1967, three days after my eighteenth birthday! What a wonderful life it has been, our love never faltered even with the loss of our one and only daughter in 2007. We were so fortunate to have a loving, caring family that God gifted us. God is good, all the time. He has been with us always and guided us all the way through many painful episodes we have faced over the years. His comforting arms are around me and I feel his presence. May God bless my precious family and help them to find peace and comfort only He can provide. This is not a goodbye; it is the beginning of another journey walking in his footsteps.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter Jerri Michelle Faw; sister, Rachel Faw Wiles and husband Sam Wiles; brother, Bruce Faw Sr. and sister-in-law Priscilla Corliss.

He is survived by his wife Marcia Beshears Faw of the home; a son, Jeffrey Faw and wife Jennifer of North Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Ethan Colt Faw and significant other Camden Bierbauer, Lakyn Breanna Faw and fiancé Dylan Ball and a brother, Roy Clinton Faw and significant other Becky Trapp Mays. He held a very special place in his heart for his nephew Bruce Faw and family, along with many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Novant Cancer Institute, 1701 S. Hawthorne Rd. Winston-Salem 27103.
