Mrs. Rachael Mullins Absher, age 82, of McGrady passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – Wilkes Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Austin Baptist Church with Rev. John David Mullins and Rev. David Spicer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Rachael was born on May 13, 1943, in Dickenson County, Virginia to Monroe Wade and Addie Lane Mullins. She was a member at Cane Creek Baptist Church. Rachael was a very vibrant and loving woman who cherished her family deeply. She enjoyed riding horses, boats and country music.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Ray Absher; the father of her children, Raymond Stotler; a son, Mark Stotler; two grandchildren, Christina Stotler, Jerry Stotler; a sister, Audrey Matthews; two brothers, Avery Mullins and Bill Mullins.

She is survived by two sons, Phillip Stotler of Florida, Randy Stotler of Maryland; a daughter, Lisa Rex Hash Lyston of Maryland; six grandchildren, Stacy Stotler, John Stotler, Joey Stotler, Jason Stotler, Jacob Stotler, Blaine Andrews; several great-grandchildren; brother, Don Mullins (Nancy) of State Road and several nieces and nephews.
