Peggy Alice (Andrews) Smith

Mrs. Peggy Alice Andrews Smith, age 80 of Millers Creek passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Kenny Bumgarner and Rev. Billy Ervin officiating. Burial will be in Millers Creek Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Smith was born November 4, 1939 in Caldwell County to William Howard and Emma “Christene” Brookshire Andrews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, William Howard Andrews and her husband, James “Jim” Richard Smith. 

She is survived by her mother, Emma “Christene” Brookshire of Lenoir; a daughter Rebecca Ann Smith Roten and husband Gary of North Wilkesboro; a granddaughter, Emily R. Wagoner and husband Chris of Millers Creek; a great granddaughter Leia C. Wagoner of Millers Creek; two sisters, Kathyrn Andrews and Jeanette A. Evans both of Hudson; a brother in-law  Ray Smith and wife Linda of Winston Salem; a niece and nephews, Mitch Keller and wife Reba, Matt Keller and wife Samantha, Chris Smith and wife Katie,  Eric Smith and wife Amy, Mike Smith and wife Kelly, Elaine Smith; and a very special friend Cathy Bumgarner, an Angel on Earth.
