Peggy Wilder Mosley

Peggy Faye (Wilder) Mosley went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2025. Peggy suffered a stroke and had been at Forsyth Hospital in Winston/Salem. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2025, at North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church with Rev. R.C. Griffin, III officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Entombment will be private. 

Peggy was born in Rose Hill, VA on July 3, 1939, to Selma and Guston Wilder. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother; Jimmy. 

Peggy graduated from Annapolis High School where she was the Homecoming Queen. Immediately after High School, Peggy went to work with the Government as a Secretary. Shortly thereafter, Bud and Peggy married and started a family. Peggy worked as an Administrator and Judge Advocate in Ft. Meade MD, and continued to work in various responsible positions until retirement from the Executive Administrator for Ingersol/Rand in 2005. Peggy has lived in Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Florida, New Jersey and North Carolina. 

Peggy was active in sports while in school, playing and excelling in several team sports. As an adult, Peggy was an avid tennis and golf player. She enjoyed winter sports like skiing and riding snow mobiles with her sons. Peggy also liked gardening and enjoying the outdoors. Peggy loved living in her beautiful cabin, located in the peaceful mountains of McGrady, N.C. She lived with her husband of 65 years, Bud. Together they enjoyed retirement and being involved in North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church activities. Peggy especially enjoyed the Women’s Ministry Activities and the Kirk Activities through church. She also learned to weave attractive baskets at Wilkes Community College. Peggy was an avid book reader who enjoyed mysteries.

Peggy will be sorely missed by her surviving family: Bud, her loving husband of 65 years. Sons, Brent (Dina), Steve (Melinda). Sister, Iva. Grandchildren: Alexandra, Jessica and Logan (Katherine). Great-Grandaughter: Paige as well as many friends.
